Radiofónicas Gust Part 4
In the late 50's, an anonymous character reaches the Bajio, his island of origin, to join the City radio as an announcer, not perhaps suspecting that it would become over time in foremost master of the art direction has been the metropolitan quadrant: Silvestre Raso Arredondo, then a young man of lively and often curly hair and hills 28 years old, who joins the station's most prestigious at the time: XENK, Radio 6.20 broadcasting from the cosmopolitan corner of Juarez and Balderas and at that time was at the pinnacle of glory and popularity solely to transmit Music for Youth. "
Silvestre, then raised to the station manager, has the knack of inventing two concepts that involved the golden key to immortalize the station to 620 kilohertz, as inspired by the melody "Love Is Here To Stay" by George Gershwin , created the slogan that has transpired in the history of the airwaves in Mexico: "The Music That Is Here To Stay" slogan after nearly half a century away is still used by Radio 6.20 and, on the other hand, creates the system musical programming to announce the formula from song to song, without having a specific or limited space. Both concepts were
on the money and made a station Radio 6.20 out of series and unparalleled in the quadrant. Raso remained at the station until the late 70's, returning to mid 80's, came back in 1987, returning again in 1992 and complete its cycle at the station in 1993, only months before the sale of Laris Family station, its current dealers. Raso
shaped Radio 6.20, personally chose the music to play, marking the disks with very characteristic key and protected with a red ribbon with multiple rivets. He had a long talk and attitude somewhat glamorous personality. It was a great character and today (March 19, when it was written this article), a year away from his physical game, a server remembers this column by thanking you for having the 6.20 Radio radio the greatest event in history. Rest in peace.
